Guidelines for Competition

  • The competition will be open to everyone on social media – however, natives of the Niger Delta region are strongly encouraged to participate.
  • Applicants will be requested to focus their one-minute story on positive developments in the region around key issues like: women’s access to land for agricultural purposes, technological innovation and hubs, actors promoting peace, access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Niger Delta, and untold stories of entrepreneurship or resilience.
  • Entries are expected to be in video format and not longer than 1 minute.
  • Outside of style, composition, and originality, applicants will be mainly judged based on how creatively they are able to capture the story of the Niger Delta in their approximately 1-minute video (we are not necessarily looking for videos with 4K quality).
  • Video submissions should be uploaded on Twitter and Instagram with @PINDFoundation tagged on all posts.

Judging Procedure

  • The top five videos will be selected by the PIND 10th Anniversary  committee based on the entry’s content, composition, and number of votes by the public.
